Sweet & Salty

A few days ago, I was looking for something simple for the boys to make as little Easter treats for our neighbors and found these Marshmallow candy melt wafers from Wilton. Then, I scrolled past this Pin from Two Sisters Crafting. Bingo!

So, these happened today...

They're pretty darn easy to make but not a kid-friendly assembly after all (melted chocolate on little fingers is apparently way too tempting and much licking commenced. Those treats were set aside for non-neighbor consumption).

Before getting started, I sorted a bag of Easter M&M's so each color was in it's own bowl to make the final assembly a little easier. Then, I lined a baking sheet with aluminum foil, lined up the pretzel snaps with a wafer on top of each and baked at 250 for 2 minutes. You want the wafers soft but not so soft that they're pooling through the pretzel.

Then, simply place the M&M's in the flower design - remember to place the M down. I may or may not have forgotten to do that a few times :-)

While I was assembling the first batch, the hubs came home from his mother's house with a gift of Springtime sprinkles so these little gems became round two!

Tomorrow, if there are any left, these guys get bagged. tagged (FREE PRINTABLE BELOW!) and delivered to the neighbors with some bunny bread. And if none survive the night, they're so simple to make, I can just whip up a few more!

Perfect customizable favors or super easy & cute additions to your sweets display! Yay!
